Mindful Mondays.

Imagine if we could start off our week doing acts of self love and redefining what Mondays should feel like?

Granted if it weren’t for my beautiful, amazing sis organising a perfect morning together of pampering at the lush @manusaorganicdayspa for my bday, we’d both be running through our own busy days, because that’s what we’re supposed to do right?

Because Mondays are supposed to be about work? Starting off the weekly checklist which looked very similar to the week before? Because Mondays are the day after the weekend so by default it should be less fun or enjoyable? Poor Mondays, you get a bad rap. I’d sit with you.

Sooo what if we peek at the concept that Monday could be a little about me (you)?

If you’re unable to indulge in a daytime salon escape, could you

buy yourself an especially delightful lunch on Monday?

or when you get home could you give yourself time for a magnesium soak? (those who get the pleasure of hearing me on repeat, they know my obsession with magnesium.. I’ll explain more in another post) if a bath isn’t possible, could you do a magnesium foot soak?

give yourself a facial with cucumbers over the eyes so it forces you to have a tech break?

or try a new workout or studio just to give you that new fresh vibe at the start of your week?

There is so much value in changing up the norm. Even if it’s just for a moment. We were out for 90 minutes, and now we’re both back at work. I feel so grateful for the catch up and connection to my sister. The appreciation reiterates this is what life is all about. And that quality of connection doesn’t need to be earned during Monday to Friday, we are deserving of it everyday.

So just wanted to plant the seed that we don’t need to earn our connections and our worth, we just need to remember and make time for them.
